By reserving a place on the BSS in Turin 2025 course "EXPLORING ANCIENT EGYPT AT TURIN’S MUSEO EGIZIO" with Dr Luigi Prada, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consent to the following:
- Bloomsbury Summer School (Kathryn E. Piquette) are not acting as travel agents nor tour operators and cannot be held liable as such. While we will make every effort to ensure your wellbeing during the course, we are not liable for any unforeseen circumstances and / or changes.
- The course will be operated by BSS who will oversee all arrangements regarding museum visits, lectures, our Welcome Dinner, and optional social gatherings.
- Your reservation will only be made once you have completed the booking form and sent your deposit payment to BSS via the bank details provided below.
- Should the minimum number of course participants not be achieved, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.
- Should the minimum number of course participants be reached, you will be notified via email, at which point you are responsible for making your own travel and accommodation arrangements such that you will endeavour to be in Turin for the start of the course at 09:00 on Friday 3 October 2025. Please DO NOT book your flight until you have received notification that the course is confirmed. BSS are not financially liable for your airfare if you book your flight before we have confirmed that the course is going ahead.
- This course is designed for participants in good health and with good mobility. Participants must not travel against medical advice and must be covered by their own travel insurance. Proof of travel insurance will be required. Please bring any relevant documentation with you on your journey.
Cancellation and refund rolicy:
Should you need to cancel your booking, the following charges will apply:
- More than 60 days notice: deposit only.
- 60 - 42 days: 30% of final invoice.
- 41 - 28 days: 50% of final invoice.
- Less than 28 days: 100% of final invoice.
Should Bloomsbury Summer School need to cancel your booking, your deposit and balance payment will be returned in full. Bloomsbury Summer School reserves the right to alter the itinerary to alternatives of a similar grade, if circumstances dictate.
The course fee (£565) includes:
- 4 lecture sessions led by Dr Luigi Prada as described in the itinerary
- All-day museum entry pass for Friday and Saturday, with all guiding in the Museo Egizio (with headsets) led by Dr Prada
- Welcome Dinner on Day 2 (alcohol not included)
The course fee does not include:
- Airfare to Turin. You are responsible for booking your own flight to arrive in time for the start of the course.
- Accommodation in Turin. You are responsible for booking your own accommodation within walking distance of the Museo Egizio
- Any meals or drinks.
- Travel insurance. It is essential that all participants arrange and be covered by their own travel insurance.
- Any other costs for goods or services not indicated as included.
Payment information:
The total course fee is £565. To reserve your place, send a deposit of £200 per person; the balance (£365) is due on Monday 2 September 2025.
